Photos never leave your phone. Photo Friend cuts a person out of a photo on the device (Apple Vision / ML Kit). Nothing is uploaded, and there is no face recognition — we only find where the face is so the head sticker is cut out correctly.
World Ranking. Every player is in the World Ranking from the start under a random fun nickname (like "TURBO DINO 7") - no sign-up, no real name. The game sends: a random anonymous player id, the nickname, your throw distance, score, flight time and player level (XP). No photos, no contacts, no location, no advertising id. You can change the nickname in RANKING → CHANGE NAME (the first change is free). "REMOVE ME" in the ranking deletes your entries and nickname, and after that nothing is ever sent again unless you join again yourself.
Friends (optional, needs a ranking nickname). Every player has a short friend code made from their random player id. When you add someone by code or by opening their friend/challenge link, our server stores that the two codes are friends, so you both appear in each other's FRIENDS list. Friends see each other's nickname, best distance, best score and level — nothing else. Remove a friend any time by tapping them in RANKING → FRIENDS; "REMOVE ME" also deletes your friend code.
THROW ME! shows one kind of ad only: optional videos you choose to watch for a reward (KEEP FLYING after a fall and, from version 1.0.1, double coins, a daily gift, a free life or an extra Daily Throw try). There are no forced ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Before any ad is shown, EU/UK players are asked for consent (Google's consent form), and on iPhone you are asked whether apps may track you. If you say no, ads are non-personalized. AdMob may process a device advertising identifier, basic device information, diagnostics (such as crash and performance data) and ad interaction data (such as views and taps) to show and measure ads — see Google's ad policy. You can change your choice any time in SETTINGS → AD PRIVACY CHOICES.
To learn which of our App Store ads bring players who enjoy the game, THROW ME! sends a small set of anonymous statistics to our server: a random install id made by the game (not your ranking id, not linked to your nickname), the install date, the days you play, how far your runs go and in which world, which in-app purchases you make (product and price, never payment details), and when a rewarded video ad is shown (and the revenue our ad network reports for it).
On iPhone, the game also asks Apple once for an attribution record (Apple's AdServices). Apple tells us only whether the install came from one of our Apple Ads campaigns, and if so which campaign, ad group, keyword and country. No advertising identifier (IDFA) is used, and this is not tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
In the EU/UK this only happens if you agree in the consent form shown at start (you can change it any time in SETTINGS → AD PRIVACY CHOICES). Everywhere, you can switch it off in SETTINGS → ANONYMOUS STATS; we then stop sending and delete what we hold for your install. The data is kept for at most 180 days after your last play and is only used, as totals, to decide where we advertise. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)); outside the EU/UK: our legitimate interest in measuring our advertising. Service providers: Vercel (server) and Upstash (database) process this data for us.
If you allow notifications, the game schedules at most one reminder a day on your phone (for example a new Daily Throw or your streak reward), only on days you haven't played. They are local notifications: nothing is sent to a server and no push token is collected. Switch them off any time in SETTINGS → REMINDERS or in your phone's settings.
Purchases (outfit and slingshot packs, Wild Coins, Supporter, extra lives and name changes) are handled entirely by Apple's App Store / Google Play. We never see your payment details. Packs and Supporter unlock cosmetics and coins; extra lives let you continue a run once; a name change lets you pick a new ranking nickname. Wild Coins (earned by playing or bought) can also be spent on power-up upgrades. A run you continue once (with an extra life or an ad) still counts for your best and the World Ranking.
Your progress (coins, looks, missions, levels, upgrades, best distances, friend list) is stored on your phone. Apart from the World Ranking and the anonymous stats above (which you can switch off), gameplay analytics stay on the device. The weekly league uses your existing World Ranking entry; its coin prizes are added on your phone.
